Hitting the Minstream – BBC, John Lewis and Bristol Live

Jonathan, showing off the products at John Lewis in Bristol. Oct 23

Over the past few months, we have been invited to showcase our products and speak about the benefits of CBD on both national radio and with our local newspaper. This is an exciting acceptace and move into the main stream.

John Lewis in Bristol. October 2023

In October last year, we had an incredible opportunity to showcase our products with a week-long pop-up in the Bristol John Lewis store. This experience involved a lot of preparation, from making and labelling the products to hiring people to help out in-store and cover posting orders during the week. It was a tough sales pitch, with many people initially hesitant to stop and learn about our offerings. However, which small business would turn down an opportunity to showcase their creations in the UK’s most respected and well-known department store? It was a fantastic experience that we loved, and we are incredibly grateful to the Great Brand Exchange for making it possible. Thank you to everyone who helped out, too.

Local BBC Radio Interview. April 2024

Fast forward to this April 2024. At the start of the month, I was interviewed by Caroline Martin on BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s morning show. We discussed what CBD is, why people use it, and why it is particularly popular in Gloucestershire and Bath. Although I was nervous doing the live interview, I was happy with how it went. You can listen to it below.

Bristol Post Interview. April 2024

This interview led to another opportunity a few weeks later with Bristol Live, the local online paper associated with the Bristol Post Newspaper. Again, we discussed why people are turning to CBD as a treatment for stress, especially after Bristol was named the 6th most stressed city in the UK. You can read the article here

Breaking the Stigma

The shift in public perception has been remarkable. More people are now open to trying CBD, and its use has become more mainstream. We’ve seen our customer base grow and diversify, reflecting a broader acceptance across different age groups and backgrounds.

The stigma associated with CBD as a cannabinoid is gradually diminishing, thanks in part to widespread education and positive experiences shared by users. It’s rewarding to see individuals who were once hesitant now embracing CBD as part of their daily wellness routine.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, we remain committed to our mission of providing high-quality CBD products and fostering a deeper understanding of its benefits. We’re excited about the future and the continued growth of the CBD industry.

It is gratifying to see CBD and the stigma of cannabis and cannabinoids being reframed as a valid aid for various ailments. We here at CBD Bristol have been championing this cause for years, and it’s great to see the mainstream media finally coming on side.

We invite you to join us on this journey. Whether you’re a longtime user or just curious about CBD, we’re here to support and guide you. Thank you for being a part of our community and for helping us break the stigma, one drop at a time.

If you would like to have a chat about CBD and how it might help you as well as a guide to what prouducts might be best for you. Give Jonathan a call, text or whatsapp on (+44) 07762420599 or email us at
